Tot School
Fall Theme...
We centered our tot school activities this week around our monthly theme: fall.

Math Skills...
I found these fun little pumpkin erasers at target a few weeks ago and they were a big hit with both kids and just perfect for tot school! I put laminated number cards in a muffin pan and had Smiley count out the correct number of pumpkins for each...

The little one had fun grabbing the pumpkins that her big brother had counted out ;)
Smiley then collected all of the pumpkins and put them in a bottle and then practiced pouring pumpkins for a long time ;)
I gave our lovebug a bottle and she worked for a really long time putting all the erasers in a bottle. She was SO into this activity and worked on this for SO SO long! She did great with this. I was quite impressed :)
We found this little apple matching activity at spelloutloud. It's great for working on making patterns!

The little tot enjoyed grabbing the little apple pieces and putting them in a bottle.

I made a fall sensory bin for the kids this week as well and they both LOVED it. It was quite messy, but well worth the joy they got out of it :)
I filled it with oatmeal, leaves from the dollar section at target, little eraser pumpkins from target, and laminated apples...

The week started out very rainy, which was very fitting for our fall theme. It turned around quickly though and was very nice again mid-week. We spent lots of time outside on the patio and on the playground. Smiley still loves riding this little leapfrog firetruck. He's really fast on it now too, driving down little hills and zipping around corners. He may need a helmet soon. Seriously...
We started a fall project as well this week. I had him paint in fall colors and I plan on gluing leaves on it next week...
Fun...

It was such a beautiful (really hot, actually) day today, that we decided to go to Disneyland. The kids had SUCH a good time!
They even have a petting zoo now. Both kids loved petting the goats and sheep :)

  1. Fun week! I'm totally jealous that you can just go to Disneyland on a whim. LOL Of course we go to Busch Gardens just about every week in the spring and fall (I avoid summer crowds) so I shouldn't complain.

Love the sensory bin. We have a new one this month ourselves.

  3. I just found those erasers at Target today, too, but wasn't sure what I was going to do with them. Thanks for giving me some ideas!
