Introducing...Totally Tots!

totally tots

Carisa from 1+1+1=1 is introducing a great new site, Totally Tots, for Christian moms of Tots ages 1-4. I am very excited about this new blog, as it is going to be a great resource for moms of Tots. I am going to be writing for the Did You Know section, where I will be sharing some ideas about nutrition and health. I feel blessed and privileged to be working on this project amongst so many wonderful moms. The blog will focus on areas, such as: Bible Bites, Giggle Time, Cute Tots, Crafty Corner, Get Real With God, and more! I am very excited about this blog. Please go over and check it out. Carisa has done a wonderful job, and I am sure you will like it :)

Tot School

~Smiley is currently 12 months old~

We practiced spatial and fine motor skills a lot this week. Trying to put things into other things is currently a big hit with Smiley. Here he is fitting his bath octopus into his toy cup.
He actually managed to put his round shape into the correct hole of his shape sorter :)

Most of the time, his shape sorting abilities looked more like this though ;)

He got a new toy at Target this week when we picked up birthday presents for Lorelai and Preston. He loves this Fisher Price mailbox. He was very fascinated with opening and closing the door and inserting and taking out the toy letters.

Smiley got this Fisher price toy as a birthday present from his Godfather Danny. He did surprisingly well with the little hammer.

We practiced his fine motor skills some more with this playskool toy.

Proud of his accomplishment...

"Reading" one of his favorite books (bright baby animals). He particularly enjoys to copy the lion sound (rooooar).

Playing with a "Slinky" at Lorelai and Preston's birthday party.

Make sure to check out more Tot-School posts at 1+1+1=1.

Happy Birthday

Smiley turned one! I can't believe that my little baby just entered toddlerhood. The first year of his life just flew by. Although I am a little sad that my baby isn't a baby anymore, I am also excited about everything that lies ahead of us. Smiley is changing and learning new things everyday. I have been reading Carisa's blog, http://1plus1plus1equals1.blogspot.com/ for a while now and have been looking forward to offically be starting tot school with my own son. I thought now that Smiley turned one, it would be a great time to start in this adventure :)
